Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 4 years managerial experience in housekeeping within a full-service hotel
- or 6 years line level housekeeping experience
- ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- adherence to safety procedures
- availability to work flexible hours
- effective communication skills
- prior experience in Marriott Hotels or full-service hotel brand preferred

- or 6 years line level experience in all aspects of housekeeping department
- prior experience in Marriott Hotels or similar full-service hotel brands preferred
- strong leadership and organizational skills
- ability to conduct training and supervise staff effectively
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- knowledge of housekeeping operations, safety standards, and cost control measures
- ability to perform physical tasks related to housekeeping duties
Job Duties
- Manage daily housekeeping operations to maintain cleanliness and quality standards of guest rooms, public spaces, and meeting rooms
- obtain list of vacant rooms and prospective checkouts to prepare work assignments
- advise Front Office Manager and Guest Service Agents of room readiness
- assign housekeeping attendants their duties and inspect work for cleanliness standards
- ensure team members follow safety rules and take corrective actions when necessary
- manage housekeeping systems, cost controls, budgeting, and forecasting
- inspect rooms and public areas to determine needs for repairs and recommend actions
- ensure proper key control procedures and room security
- oversee hotel laundry operation
- monitor and develop team members’ performance including supervision, counseling, and evaluations
- conduct orientation and training for new associates
- record work assignments, personnel actions, timesheets, and prepare reports on occupancy, payroll, and expenses
- assist in controlling housekeeping department expenses
- follow all company safety and security policies and procedures
- report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
- maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
- welcome and address guests’ needs
- develop and maintain positive working relationships with associates
- ensure compliance with hotel quality standards
- perform physical tasks including reaching, bending, lifting, carrying, and moving objects up to 50 pounds
