Job Requirements

  • Minimum of high school education
  • Minimum of two years in housekeeping management position
  • Experience with branded hotels
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Experience with HMS or other labor management system
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing

Job Qualifications

  • Branded hotel experience (i.e Hilton, Marriott, IHG etc.)
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • HMS and/or experience using labor management system
  • Minimum of high school education, post-high school education preferred
  • Minimum of two years in housekeeping management position
  • Bi-lingual fluency a plus

Job Duties

  • Schedules room and cleaning assignments to ensure proper coverage
  • Inspects all assigned suites and public areas to ensure furnishings, equipment, linens, etc. are clean and in good repair
  • Performs all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds, vacuuming and cleaning
  • Verifies and updates status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift
  • Randomly selects assigned rooms to ensure cleanliness
  • Counsels Housekeepers on discrepancies
  • Coach, counsel, and provide corrective action to housekeeping associates on performance not meeting expectations and discrepancies found in rooms
  • Notifies GM and/or Chief Engineer of maintenance repairs necessary
  • Interviews, hires, coaches and disciplines direct reports
  • Perform property walk and report identified deficiencies
  • Participates in scheduling employees to business demands and tracking employee time and attendance
  • Supervises staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met
  • Manages Housekeeping inventory, ensuring that team has dedicated tools, supplies, and resources to complete assigned tasks and work
  • Participates in QA audits
