Job Requirements
- Post-high school education of one to two years
- one to two years of related housekeeping or management experience
- strong communication skills
- ability to handle physical job demands including standing, walking, bending, kneeling
- ability to work in indoor climate-controlled environments
- capability to manage and lead teams
- ability to implement emergency procedures
- no driving required
Job Qualifications
- One to two years of post-high school education
- experience preferred from one to two years in a related housekeeping or management position
- self-starting personality with an even disposition
- ability to meet standards of appearance
- ability to communicate well with guests
- knowledge of health, sanitation, safety standards
- leadership and team-building skills
Job Duties
- Directing, interviewing, hiring, counseling, plan work schedules, assign work duties of housekeeping associates
- lead pre-shift meetings, communicate arrivals, departures, identify VIPs, delegate room assignments and duties
- assist the Executive Housekeeper in interviewing and selecting new associates for hire
- monitor the housekeeping staff and their productivity and efficiency for the purpose of recommending promotions or changes in status
- assist in handling employee complaints, grievances, and discipline up to termination
- determine types of materials, supplies, tools to be used or stocked
- supervise and inspect cleaning of guest rooms, turndown service, public areas, back of house
- ensure compliance with accident/loss prevention programs, SOPs, and health/sanitation standards
- implement emergency training and procedures for protection of hotel guests, staff, and assets
- issue assignments to staff reviewing special requests and areas of concentration
- issue supplies/goods to staff to control inventory and expenses
- respond to guest requests, concerns, and problems to ensure satisfaction
- log items into Lost and Found and maintain controls
