Job Requirements
- At least a 2-year college degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of progressive hotel or related field experience
- Supervisory experience
- Proficient computer skills including Windows and office software
- Ability to work long and flexible hours
- Physical ability to perform medium work involving lifting up to 50 pounds
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Must be courteous and service-oriented
- Compliance with company policies and attendance standards
- Ability to handle problem solving and decision making

Job Qualifications
- At least 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field, or a 4-year college degree, or a 2-year college degree and 1 or more years of related experience
- Supervisory experience required
- Proficient in Windows, company approved spreadsheets and word processing
- Able to work long hours sometimes
- Capable of medium work involving lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees and guests
- Skilled at listening, understanding, and clarifying concerns
- Able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
- Approaches all encounters in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner
- Attends all required meetings and trainings
- Participates in Manager on Duty coverage as required
- Maintains regular attendance as per company standards
- Maintains high personal appearance and grooming standards

Job Duties
- Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees
- Respond to guest requests, problems, complaints, and accidents courteously and efficiently
- Motivate, coach, counsel, and discipline housekeeping personnel according to company SOPs
- Ensure compliance with training standards and maintain detailed cleaning checklists
- Assist in maintaining and controlling housekeeping equipment and supplies
- Ensure compliance with corporate risk management standards
- Manage large guestroom turns efficiently
- Conduct daily room inspections with supervisors
- Assist in inspecting VIP rooms prior to arrival
- Ensure public, guest room, and back-of-house areas are clean to company standards
- Order supplies and amenities regularly
- Conduct monthly and quarterly inventories
- Protect guest privacy and security
- Monitor and follow up on engineering work orders
- Conduct pre-shift meetings and respond to emergency situations
- Balance and clear room status nightly
- Assist in payroll review and schedule preparation
- Maintain purchase orders, invoice vouchering, and accounting procedures
- Promote open communication within staff
- Implement hotel policies and house rules
- Ensure usage of radio and pager etiquette
- Organize large turn days including group check-ins and check-outs
- Monitor room statuses and ensure communication with guest services
- Handle VIP and special guest requests
- Attend weekly staff meetings and conduct training
- Maintain lost and found and key control systems
- Participate in team meetings and focus on guest service audit scores
- Review housekeeping logs and filing systems
- Use telephone and computer systems to verify room status
- Manage valet laundry and secure supplies
- Complete biannual maintenance and cleaning projects
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction
