Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum three years of progressive housekeeping management experience in a large luxury resort
- Preferred experience opening a large property with over 3,000 rooms
- Knowledge of hotel operations and housekeeping functions
- Union experience preferred
- Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations calmly
- Experience managing schedules, labor standards, and service recoveries
- Ability to lead, mentor, and hold Members accountable
- Preferred knowledge of Forbes Travel Guide training
- Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, HotSOS, Rex and housekeeping software
- Knowledge of labor laws and OSHA regulations
- Highly motivated with strong hospitality commitment
- Ability to implement strategic plans, budgets and best practices
- Strong collaboration and leadership skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Effective communication in English

Job Duties
- Manage the daily activities of assigned work areas including cleaning of rooms, corridors, storage areas, locker rooms, and other relevant areas to ensure guest satisfaction
- Lead and supervise housekeeping staff providing guidance, support, and feedback
- Participate in the interview and selection of new Members
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to uphold cleanliness and brand standards
- Update hourly Members on departmental policies and procedures
- Oversee inventory and reordering of housekeeping supplies, linens, and amenities
- Recommend new equipment and amenities following safety and service guidelines
- Assist in housekeeping budget planning and monitor expenses
- Address guest feedback and resolve housekeeping-related issues promptly
- Counsel and discipline Members as necessary
- Participate in performance reviews and provide regular feedback
- Follow safety protocols including handling cleaning chemicals and OSHA standards
- Collaborate and communicate with other departments such as front office and engineering
- Elevate individual and departmental performance
- Adapt to temporary or permanent duties as required
