Job Requirements

  • College degree preferably in hospitality management
  • Two years of housekeeping supervisory experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and detail orientation
  • Ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced and high-pressure situations
  • Strong guest service orientation
  • Desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience managing union staff and/or knowledge of the collective bargaining agreement
  • Familiarity with Opera and/or HOTSOS hotel management systems

Job Duties

  • Distribute daily work assignments and inspect work performed
  • Monitor and control various departmental operations and tasks
  • Complete and maintain various records and employee files
  • Inspect guest areas and back of house locations
  • Train, counsel, evaluate, and discipline staff along contractual guidelines
  • Prepare daily staff assignments and scheduling
  • Attend departmental meetings and meet with assigned staff regularly
  • Communicate hotel and housekeeping standards among staff
  • Prepare weekly schedules and payroll according to forecast and other factors
  • Delegate responsibilities
  • Inventory, order, and receive housekeeping equipment and supplies
  • Maintain key control
