Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years’ experience in housekeeping or related professional area
- OR two-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
- Ability to train and supervise employees
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to manage budgeting and operations
- Availability to work varied shifts
- Driving capability and valid license
- Ability to pass required screening
- Knowledge of housekeeping standards and procedures
- Commitment to customer service excellence

- Familiarity with property management and scheduling systems
- Competent in enforcing policies and disciplinary procedures
- Proficient in inventory management and inspection protocols
- Commitment to high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction
Job Duties
- Ensure guest room status is communicated to the Front Desk in a timely and efficient manner
- Inspect guestrooms on a daily basis
- Obtain lists of rooms to be cleaned immediately and prospective check-outs to prepare work assignments
- Inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies
- Support and supervise an effective inspection program for all guestrooms and public spaces
- Manage departmental operations to meet or exceed budgeted goals
- Ensure employees have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms
- Communicate areas needing attention to staff and follow up to ensure understanding
- Supervise daily housekeeping shift operations and ensure compliance with all policies
- Participate in departmental meetings and communicate departmental goals
- Use job training tools to train new room attendants and provide follow-up training
- Establish and maintain collaborative employee relationships
- Schedule employees to meet business demands and track attendance
- Administer policies fairly and consistently including disciplinary procedures
- Supervise staffing levels to meet guest service and financial objectives
- Observe service behaviors and provide feedback
- Ensure employee recognition on all shifts
- Participate in employee recognition programs
- Solicit employee feedback and address concerns
- Participate in progressive discipline procedures
- Celebrate team member successes and recognize contributions
- Set a positive example for guest relations
- Develop and implement corrective action plans to improve guest satisfaction
- Empower employees to provide excellent customer service
- Emphasize guest satisfaction during all meetings
- Respond to and handle guest problems and complaints
