Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in hotel housekeeping management
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical activities such as lifting up to 30 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 60 pounds
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled
  • Ability to pass security clearance according to company policy
  • Proficiency in English speaking and reading
  • Honesty and trustworthiness
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Flexibility to maintain a variable work schedule
  • Basic math skills

Job Qualifications

  • Prior hotel housekeeping experience
  • Supervisory experience in housekeeping or related field
  • Knowledge of housekeeping materials, supplies, and equipment
  • Ability to conduct room inspections and maintain cleanliness standards
  • Basic computer skills including experience with housekeeping software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to train, coach, and motivate staff
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and guest privacy
  • Familiarity with safety and security protocols
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively

Job Duties

  • Assist in coordinating the activities of the housekeeping team
  • Inspect all areas of the hotel including rooms, public spaces, back of the house, and grounds to ensure sanitation and brand standards
  • Maintain necessary supplies for housekeeping and laundry departments including guest loaned items
  • Assist with monthly inventories, ordering, receiving, and processing invoices
  • Ensure equipment such as vacuums and laundry machines are in proper working order
  • Manage key control for guests and associates ensuring security
  • Provide training including new hire orientation and ongoing education for housekeeping staff
  • Assist with scheduling and labor cost control within designated guidelines
  • Ensure guest privacy and handle guest issues professionally
  • Coordinate with maintenance for prompt resolution of maintenance requests
  • Maintain professional appearance and adhere to grooming standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned that are within the capability of the associate
