Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years experience in housekeeping or related professional area
  • Or 2-year degree from accredited university with relevant major
  • Availability to work full time
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to conduct regular inspections
  • Effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of budgeting and operational management
  • Capability to handle disciplinary procedures
  • Commitment to uphold company policies and standards
  • Ability to train and motivate staff
  • Proficiency in employee scheduling and time tracking

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 2 years experience in housekeeping or related area
  • Or 2-year degree from accredited university in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration or related major
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage budgets effectively
  • Experience with staff training and development
  • Knowledge of housekeeping operations and standards
  • Excellent customer service orientation
  • Ability to handle guest complaints professionally
  • Understanding of safety and disciplinary procedures
  • Proficiency in scheduling and attendance tracking
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive work environment

Job Duties

  • Verify guest room status is communicated to front desk in a timely and efficient manner
  • Inspect guestrooms on a daily basis
  • Obtain lists for immediate cleaning and prepare work assignments
  • Inventory stock to verify adequate supplies
  • Support and supervise inspection programs for guestrooms and public spaces
  • Manage departmental operations to meet or exceed budget goals
  • Ensure employees have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms
  • Communicate areas needing attention and follow up
  • Supervise daily housekeeping shift operations ensuring policy compliance
  • Participate in departmental meetings to communicate goals
  • Train new room attendants and provide ongoing training
  • Maintain open and collaborative relationships with employees
  • Schedule staff according to business demands and track attendance
  • Ensure employee understanding of expectations and parameters
  • Administer disciplinary procedures fairly following policies
  • Supervise staffing to meet service and operational needs
  • Provide feedback on service behaviors
  • Recognize employee contributions on all shifts
  • Participate in employee recognition programs
  • Solicit employee feedback and address concerns
  • Participate in employee progressive discipline
  • Set a positive example for guest relations
  • Understand and uphold brand's service culture
  • Implement corrective action plans to improve guest satisfaction
  • Empower employees to provide excellent customer service
  • Emphasize guest satisfaction and continuous improvement
