Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One year previous housekeeping supervisor experience required
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Willingness to work varied hours including holidays, weekends and alternate shifts
  • Strong organizational and scheduling skills
  • Ability to handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally
  • Familiarity with MSDS and OSHA safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience as a housekeeping supervisor or similar role for at least one year
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Knowledge of housekeeping operations and quality standards
  • Ability to follow safety and sustainability guidelines

Job Duties

  • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates ensuring they meet brand standards and core values
  • Observe and monitor staff performance for efficient operations and adherence to policies
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas and grounds for cleanliness, appearance and safety
  • Answer inquiries related to hotel policies and services and resolve guest complaints
  • Prepare schedules based on occupancy and assign duties to associates
  • Take inventory and submit periodic orders to ensure timely supply purchase
  • Prepare departmental paperwork and comply with internal audit standards
  • Communicate guest service scores to drive performance improvement
  • Maintain departmental expenses within budget
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards and sustainability guidelines
  • Follow safety practices according to MSDS and OSHA standards
  • Participate in safety committees
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
