Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One year previous housekeeping supervisor experience required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds
- Willingness to work varied hours including holidays, weekends and alternate shifts
- Strong organizational and scheduling skills
- Ability to handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally
- Familiarity with MSDS and OSHA safety standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience as a housekeeping supervisor or similar role for at least one year
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of housekeeping operations and quality standards
- Ability to follow safety and sustainability guidelines
Job Duties
- Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates ensuring they meet brand standards and core values
- Observe and monitor staff performance for efficient operations and adherence to policies
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas and grounds for cleanliness, appearance and safety
- Answer inquiries related to hotel policies and services and resolve guest complaints
- Prepare schedules based on occupancy and assign duties to associates
- Take inventory and submit periodic orders to ensure timely supply purchase
- Prepare departmental paperwork and comply with internal audit standards
- Communicate guest service scores to drive performance improvement
- Maintain departmental expenses within budget
- Ensure compliance with brand standards and sustainability guidelines
- Follow safety practices according to MSDS and OSHA standards
- Participate in safety committees
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
