Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior housekeeping or supervisory experience preferred
  • ability to pass security clearance
  • ability to push or pull 60 pounds and lift or carry 30 pounds
  • capability to stand for eight hours and perform physical activities such as bending, stretching, reaching, crawling and kneeling
  • proficiency in English communication
  • display professionalism, honesty and trustworthiness
  • ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • experience in housekeeping supervision or related housekeeping roles
  • knowledge of cleanliness standards and inspection techniques
  • familiarity with housekeeping materials, supplies and equipment
  • basic computer skills including report and inventory management
  • ability to train, motivate and coach staff
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to multi-task and maintain service orientation
  • knowledge of safety and security measures
  • ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions

Job Duties

  • assist in coordinating the activities of the housekeeping team
  • inspect all areas of the hotel to ensure sanitation, brand standards and health and safety requirements are met
  • maintain necessary supplies for housekeeping and laundry departments including guest loaned items
  • assist with monthly inventories, ordering, receiving and processing invoices
  • ensure equipment is in proper working order
  • manage key control for guests and associates
  • present training resources to housekeeping staff for continuous education
  • assist with scheduling and adhering to labor models
  • maintain guest privacy
  • coordinate with maintenance to ensure timely property upkeep
  • maintain professional appearance and adhere to grooming and uniform standards
  • perform other assigned duties
