Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior hotel housekeeping and supervisory experience required
  • ability to lift and push up to 60 pounds and carry 30 pounds
  • ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stretch, crawl, and kneel
  • must pass security clearance according to company policy
  • ability to speak and read English
  • availability to work weekends and holidays
  • professionalism and strong work ethic
  • ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • basic computer knowledge

Job Qualifications

  • prior hotel housekeeping and supervisor experience
  • ability to train, hire, schedule and oversee housekeeping staff
  • strong organizational skills to maintain logs, checklists, and inventories
  • basic computer skills including use of Quore and Hotel Effectiveness
  • knowledge of sanitation standards and safety procedures
  • ability to communicate effectively with guests and co-workers
  • professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness
  • ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
  • ability to work weekends and some holidays

Job Duties

  • assist in coordinating the activities of the housekeeping team through daily and monthly meetings
  • inspect all areas of the hotel including guest rooms, public spaces, and back of the house to ensure sanitation and brand standards
  • maintain necessary housekeeping and laundry supplies including guest loaned items
  • assist with monthly inventories, ordering, receiving, and processing invoices for payment
  • ensure all housekeeping equipment is in proper working order
  • maintain key control for guests and associates securing keys at all times
  • provide training including new hire orientation, ongoing training, and brand/vendor training for staff
  • assist with scheduling and labor management within designated labor model
  • uphold guest privacy
  • coordinate with maintenance department for timely maintenance requests
  • maintain professional appearance adhering to grooming and uniform standards
  • perform other duties as assigned within capability
