Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in hotel or related field or relevant college degrees
- Supervisory experience required
- Proficiency in Windows and company-approved spreadsheets and word processing
- Ability to work long hours when required
- Medium physical work capability, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of staff and guests
- Ability to listen, understand, and clarify concerns
- Skilled multitasking and prioritizing to meet deadlines

Job Qualifications
- At least 2 years of progressive experience in hospitality or related field
- Supervisory experience in hotel or related environment
- Proficiency with Windows, spreadsheets, and word processing software
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Knowledge of hospitality operations and safety standards
- Ability to train, motivate and develop housekeeping staff
- Experience with inventory management and scheduling
- Understanding of guest service excellence principles
- Capacity to maintain professional appearance and comply with company policies
Job Duties
- Ensure all employees are attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and fellow employees
- Respond efficiently and courteously to all guest requests, complaints, problems, or accidents
- Motivate, coach, counsel, and discipline housekeeping personnel according to company standards
- Maintain scheduled cleaning programs and detailed checklists
- Assist in maintaining and controlling housekeeping equipment
- Ensure compliance with safety and risk management standards
- Manage large guest room turnovers efficiently
- Conduct interviews and follow hiring procedures
- Develop employee morale and training
- Inspect rooms and VIP rooms regularly
- Maintain cleanliness of public, guest, and back-of-house areas
- Order and manage housekeeping and laundry supplies
- Conduct monthly and quarterly inventories
- Ensure guest privacy and security
- Monitor work orders and follow up to ensure completion
- Conduct pre-shift meetings and respond to emergencies
- Balance and clear room statuses nightly
- Review staff hours for payroll and submit on time
- Prepare employee schedules based on forecasts and budgets
- Maintain purchase order and invoice procedures
- Promote open communication within the department
- Implement all hotel policies and standards
- Ensure sign off of service standards by position competencies
- Operate communication devices professionally
- Organize and manage large turn days
- Monitor special rooms and communicate with guest services
- Manage VIP requests and room assignments
- Attend staff meetings and provide training
- Maintain lost and found procedures

- Participate in monthly team meetings
- Focus on guest service and audit scores
- Review housekeeping and guest request logs
