Job Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student
  • Available to commit to internship duration from May to August
  • Ability to work both morning and afternoon shifts
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and adhere to hotel standards
  • Ability to participate in training sessions and meetings
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to complete assigned projects on time

Job Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate hospitality or related program
  • Basic understanding of hospitality industry principles
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative
  • Basic computer skills
  • Prior experience or interest in housekeeping or hotel operations preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Participate in hotel and departmental orientations
  • Train on Forbes standards
  • Learn and perform housekeeping roles including room attendant, house person, laundry, minibar, public space attendant, turndown, and room inspector
  • Learn to use the HotSOS system
  • Participate in daily pre-shift meetings
  • Attend hotel training sessions when applicable
  • Shadow housekeeping management during AM/PM shifts
  • Learn management skills including scheduling, building housekeeping boards, and handling guest complaints
  • Attend 9:00 AM management stand-up meetings
  • Complete special projects as assigned
