Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 2 years experience in housekeeping or related field
  • previous supervisory experience preferred
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to stand, walk, and perform housekeeping duties
  • ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize
  • knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
  • effective leadership and team management skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous housekeeping supervisory experience preferred
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to train and motivate staff
  • knowledge of health and sanitation regulations
  • experience with inventory and expense monitoring
  • excellent customer service skills
  • ability to handle emergency procedures
  • proficiency in using communication devices like two-way radios
  • attention to detail in inspection and documentation
  • ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Job Duties

  • Supervise housekeeping associates to attract, retain, and motivate them while providing a safe work environment
  • interview, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach, and counsel staff
  • maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • listen to and address staff concerns in a courteous and service oriented manner
  • maintain regular attendance and use proper communication etiquette
  • inspect staff work performance daily to ensure standards and productivity levels
  • oversee closing procedures ensuring carts are clean and restocked
  • ensure daily records are completed and submitted on time
  • maintain key control system and collect keys daily
  • supervise laundry and housekeeping operations
  • submit documentation regarding poor performance or misconduct
  • ensure staff take meal breaks and rest periods
  • manage lost and found items according to company standards
  • inspect VIP rooms and report availability
  • ensure compliance with accident/loss prevention programs and health standards
  • monitor and report on expenses
  • respond to guest requests and concerns professionally
  • implement emergency training and procedures
  • coordinate maintenance issues with Engineering to maintain safety and guest satisfaction
