Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Two years of housekeeping experience including one year supervisory experience
  • Must be able to speak basic English
  • Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation
  • Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening

Job Duties

  • Inspect guest rooms hallways and public areas immediately correcting any deficiencies
  • Inspect and evaluate workers’ performance to ensure quality service and compliance with housekeeping specifications
  • Submit all maintenance issues into the EAM system on the cell phone
  • Assist Housekeeping Supervisor with opening the house and other office duties
  • Ensure each staff member is following all safety precautions
  • Ensure all team members receive proper training on departmental operational procedures and functions
  • Resolve customer complaints regarding worker performance and services rendered
  • Inspect work areas and operating equipment to ensure conformance to established standards
  • Assist with cleaning and shampooing of all carpets on assigned floors
  • Attend and complete all required department training including bio clean up carpet shampooing equipment safety and proper use of cleaning agents and chemicals
  • Assist Housekeeping Supervisor or Housekeeping Manager with screening and interviewing applicants
  • Routinely update team member’s performance journals and assist with providing input for performance appraisals
  • Perform tasks of a Guest Room Attendant Turndown Attendant or House Person as needed
  • Ensure all lost and found items are properly logged and secured at shift end
  • Ensure all guest room master keys and storage keys are properly checked out and returned each shift
  • Comply with all Housekeeping Public Areas as well as Global Standard Operating Procedures
  • Serve as a mentor when training new inspectors or attendants using the buddy system
  • Report maintenance or hazardous issues to manager or supervisor
  • Provide proper customer service by assisting external and internal guests
  • Check computer rooming system midday for any early outs
  • Create an environment of teamwork by communicating common goals and showing appreciation for team members contributions
  • Maintain punctual and regular attendance as per the Attendance Policy for Pueblo Sandia
