Job Duties

Performs multiple step cleaning procedure including daily, discharge, and O.R. cleaning
Performs dry and wet mopping of common areas using appropriate equipment including floor care machine
Responds to stat orders such as discharges, spills, floods, and hospital-wide emergency drills
Cleans up all organic body waste and patient equipment including IV poles, commodes, monitors, stretchers, and wheelchairs
Collects solid and contaminated waste and delivers to designated compactor area
Uses department procedures in preparation and selection of cleaning solutions and reports low supply of inventory
Keeps housekeeping cart clean, stocked, and orderly and reports malfunctioning equipment
