Job Duties
- Performs multiple step cleaning procedure including daily, discharge, and O.R. cleaning
- Performs dry and wet mopping of common areas using appropriate equipment including floor care machine
- Responds to stat orders such as discharges, spills, floods, and hospital-wide emergency drills
- Cleans up all organic body waste and patient equipment including IV poles, commodes, monitors, stretchers, and wheelchairs
- Collects solid and contaminated waste and delivers to designated compactor area
- Uses department procedures in preparation and selection of cleaning solutions and reports low supply of inventory
- Keeps housekeeping cart clean, stocked, and orderly and reports malfunctioning equipment
