Job Requirements

  • ability to work flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • must be able to stand, bend, lift and move furniture for extended periods
  • attention to detail and high cleaning standards
  • ability to use cleaning tools and equipment safely
  • willingness to perform repetitive tasks
  • good physical health
  • basic literacy and numeracy skills

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
  • ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • strong attention to detail
  • good physical stamina and ability to move heavy furniture
  • excellent communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • general cleans guest rooms by moving furniture and cleaning areas such as edging carpets, washing inside windows, checking drapes, scrubbing bathroom floors, inspecting with a black-light, changing shower curtains, vacuuming
  • rotates mattresses on a quarterly basis
  • runs daily room status report
  • charts all daily activities on progress chart
  • assists in deep cleaning of guest rooms
  • supports hotel’s outstanding guest service efforts
