Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in hotel housekeeping preferred
  • flexibility to work weekends, holidays and varying shifts
  • ability to stand, walk and lift heavy objects for extended periods
  • good physical stamina
  • strong customer service orientation
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Previous hotel housekeeping experience
  • ability to work morning shifts, weekends and holidays
  • strong attention to detail
  • good communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • ability to handle physical tasks associated with housekeeping duties

Job Duties

  • Clean designated areas including restrooms, public areas, offices and banquet/meeting/conference rooms
  • perform tasks including dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, shampooing carpets, washing windows, cleaning/waxing floors, removing and disposing of trash and emptying ashtrays
  • greet guests in a friendly manner
  • report maintenance deficiencies and items in need of repair
  • stock and maintain supply rooms as needed
  • perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects such as mattress flipping and furniture moves as needed
  • deliver guest requests and assist in cleaning guest rooms as needed
