Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy objects as required by job duties
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must live within 50 miles of the hotel
- Ability to maintain professional appearance and attitude
- Physical capability to meet the demands of the position
Job Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance
- Prior hotel housekeeping experience preferred or relevant environmental services experience
- Flexible schedule including availability to work weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods, bend, reach overhead, and squat
- Ability to lift, carry, and place objects up to 30 lbs without assistance and up to 100 lbs with assistance
- Ability to push or pull objects weighing up to 75 lbs without assistance
- Residency within 50 miles of the hotel
Job Duties
- Retrieve soiled linen and garbage from guest rooms and room attendants carts or storage closets to dispose of through linen chute or dumpsters
- Maintain hallways and public spaces, reporting maintenance issues and performing special cleaning assignments such as carpet cleaning or repainting
- Deliver guest amenities or special requests to guest rooms including rollaway beds, baby cribs, refrigerators, and toiletries
- Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly cleaning projects as assigned by housekeeping managers and supervisors
- Clean stairwells, elevators, and hallways to keep them free from debris and room service trays
- Maintain the housekeeping supply storeroom by organizing new supplies upon delivery and restocking floors
