Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
  • ability to communicate effectively in basic English
  • physical ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, stoop and push up to 150 pounds repeatedly
  • availability to work weekends and holidays
  • strong customer service orientation
  • ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

  • requires extensive standing, walking, lifting and bending
  • able to push, stand, stoop, bend, and lift items weighing up to 150 pounds repetitively during entire shift

  • must be customer-service orientated and have excellent hospitality skills

Job Duties

  • Reports to work as scheduled in proper uniform in accordance with the company personal appearance standards
  • consistently maintains a friendly positive attitude to ensure positive guest experience and recognition of returning guests
  • follows and adheres to all policies and procedures set forth by the Housekeeping Department
  • follows proper etiquette when communicating over the radio
  • responds, follows and closes HotSOS and other requests when assigned
  • helps room attendants by emptying trash and soiled linen from housekeeping carts
  • maintains cleanliness of public rest rooms, hotel lobby levels, ashtrays, elevators and tracks, ice machine areas, stairwells, building entrance and hallways
  • handles guests with excellent guest relations skills
  • cleans back-of-the-house windows as needed
  • vacuums guest hallways daily
  • uses proper chemicals when cleaning as per department’s procedures
  • attends all departmental meetings as scheduled
  • performs all duties in a timely and efficient manner
  • maintains linen closets clean, stocked and organized
  • brings trash to compactor at the end of day
  • responsible for washing guest room glassware and delivering to linen closets
  • brings dirty glassware to housekeeping at end of shift
  • performs other duties as directed by management consistent with company policies
  • notifies immediate supervisors promptly of all problems or unusual matters
  • is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management, and team members
  • attends appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions
  • maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area
  • executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards
  • complies with safety regulations and procedures
  • complies with hotel policies and rules
  • recycles whenever possible
  • remains current with hotel information and changes
