Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • able to stand and walk for extended periods
  • physical capability to lift up to 150 pounds
  • able to follow safety and hygiene protocols
  • basic proficiency in English
  • availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • strong communication and teamwork skills
  • commitment to guest satisfaction and hospitality

Job Duties

  • Report to work as scheduled and in proper uniform
  • consistently maintain a friendly positive attitude ensuring positive guest experience
  • follow and adhere to all housekeeping policies and procedures
  • communicate properly over the radio
  • respond, follow, and close service requests when assigned
  • assist room attendants by emptying trash and soiled linen
  • maintain cleanliness of public restrooms, hotel lobby, elevators, ice machine areas, stairwells, and hallways
  • handle guests with excellent guest relations skills
  • clean back-of-the-house windows as needed
  • vacuum guest hallways daily
  • use proper cleaning chemicals as specified
  • attend all departmental meetings as scheduled
  • perform all duties in a timely and efficient manner
  • maintain linen closets clean, stocked and organized
  • bring trash to compactor at end of the day
  • wash guest room glassware and deliver to linen closets
  • bring dirty glassware to housekeeping at end of shift
  • perform other duties as directed by management
  • notify supervisors promptly of any problems or unusual matters
  • be polite, friendly, and helpful to guests and team members
  • maintain cleanliness and condition of equipment and work area
  • execute emergency procedures as per hotel standards
  • comply with safety regulations and hotel policies
  • recycle where possible
  • remain current with hotel information and changes
  • promote and apply teamwork skills
  • comply with uniform and grooming standards
