Job Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Pass a criminal background and fingerprint check
  • Compassion and special interest in working with the senior population
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Ability to relate positively and communicate appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other employees
  • Maintain a clean, neat, comfortable, safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors
  • Meet all mandatory health requirements by state regulations
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Maintain current food handler's card

Job Duties

  • Supports dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents
  • Performed day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness
  • Ensure assigned work areas are clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive
  • Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and using equipment
  • Follow infection control practices during housekeeping procedures
  • Operate and maintain housekeeping and laundry equipment
  • Work safely and recognize potentially dangerous situations
  • Attend and participate in meetings and trainings
  • Perform other duties as assigned
