Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Pass a criminal background and fingerprint check
  • Compassion and interest in senior care
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Positive communication skills
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
  • Meets state-mandated health requirements
  • Ability to work independently
  • Maintains current food handler's card

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Compassion and special interest in working with the senior population
  • Ability to relate positively and communicate appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and employees
  • Maintains a current food handler's card
  • Meets all mandatory health requirements by state regulations
  • Works independently with minimal supervision

Job Duties

  • Supports dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents
  • Performs the day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned
  • Maintains high standards of cleanliness
  • Ensures that assigned work areas are clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive
  • Follows established safety precautions and infection control practices when performing tasks
  • Operates and maintains commercial housekeeping and laundry equipment
  • Recognizes and reports potentially dangerous situations
  • Participates in required meetings and trainings
  • Performs other assigned duties as needed
