Job Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Pass a criminal background and fingerprint check
- Compassion and a special interest in working with the senior population
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and overtime
- Ability to relate positively and communicate appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other employees
- Maintains clean, neat, comfortable, safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors
- Meets all mandatory health requirements by state regulations
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Maintains current food handler's card

Job Duties
- Supports dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents
- Performs the day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned
- Maintains high standards of cleanliness
- Ensures assigned work areas are clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive
- Follows safety precautions when performing tasks and using equipment
- Adheres to established infection control practices when performing housekeeping procedures
- Operates and maintains housekeeping and laundry equipment
- Works safely and recognizes potentially dangerous situations
- Attends and participates in required meetings and trainings
- Performs other tasks and duties as assigned
