Job Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Pass a criminal background and fingerprint check
  • Compassion and a special interest in working with the senior population
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and overtime
  • Ability to relate positively and communicate appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other employees
  • Maintains clean, neat, comfortable, safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors
  • Meets all mandatory health requirements by state regulations
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Maintains current food handler's card

Job Duties

  • Performs the day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned
  • Maintains high standards of cleanliness
  • Ensures assigned work areas are clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive
  • Follows safety precautions when performing tasks and using equipment
  • Adheres to established infection control practices when performing housekeeping procedures
  • Operates and maintains housekeeping and laundry equipment
  • Works safely and recognizes potentially dangerous situations
  • Attends and participates in required meetings and trainings
  • Performs other tasks and duties as assigned
