Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Pass a criminal background and fingerprint check
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and overtime
  • Ability to maintain a clean and sanitary environment
  • Physical ability to lift 25-50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to follow safety and infection control protocols
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups

Job Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Compassion and special interest in working with the senior population
  • Ability to relate positively and communicate appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other employees
  • Maintains clean, neat, comfortable, safe environments for residents, staff and visitors
  • Meets all mandatory health requirements by State regulations
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Maintains current food handler's card

Job Duties

  • Supports dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents
  • Performs the day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned
  • Maintains high standards of cleanliness
  • Ensures that assigned work areas are clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive
  • Follows established safety precautions and infection control practices
  • Operates and maintains housekeeping/laundry equipment such as commercial washers and buffing machines
  • Works safely to recognize and avoid potentially dangerous situations
  • Attends and participates in required meetings and trainings
  • Performs other tasks/duties as assigned
