Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Pass a criminal background and fingerprint check
- Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and overtime
- Ability to maintain a clean and sanitary environment
- Physical ability to lift 25-50 pounds regularly
- Ability to follow safety and infection control protocols
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups
Job Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Compassion and special interest in working with the senior population
- Ability to relate positively and communicate appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other employees
- Maintains clean, neat, comfortable, safe environments for residents, staff and visitors
- Meets all mandatory health requirements by State regulations
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Maintains current food handler's card
Job Duties
- Supports dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents
- Performs the day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned
- Maintains high standards of cleanliness
- Ensures that assigned work areas are clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive
- Follows established safety precautions and infection control practices
- Operates and maintains housekeeping/laundry equipment such as commercial washers and buffing machines
- Works safely to recognize and avoid potentially dangerous situations
- Attends and participates in required meetings and trainings
- Performs other tasks/duties as assigned
