Job Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Pass a criminal background and fingerprint check
- Has compassion and a special interest in working with the senior population
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and overtime
- Ability to relate positively and communicate appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other employees
- Meets all mandatory health requirements by State regulations
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Maintains current food handler's card

Job Duties
- Supports dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents
- Performs the day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned
- Must have high standards of cleanliness
- Ensures that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable and attractive manner
- Follows established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies
- Follows established Infection Control practices when performing housekeeping procedures
- Must be capable of operating and maintaining all housekeeping/laundry equipment (i.e., commercial washer/dryer, buffing machines, etc.)
- Ability to work safely and to recognize potentially dangerous situations
- Attends and participates in required meetings and trainings
- Stays current on system assigned tasks and duties
- Performs other tasks/duties as assigned
