Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • One year of prior experience in commercial or institutional housekeeping
  • Ability to make independent decisions
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to accept constructive criticism
  • Ability to deal tactfully with diverse groups including personnel, residents, and the public
  • Willingness to work harmoniously with others
  • Ability to follow instructions related to cleaning compounds and disinfecting solutions
  • Ability to communicate information regarding resident conditions

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Prior experience in assisted living, independent living, or skilled nursing facility preferred
  • One year of prior commercial or institutional housekeeping experience
  • Ability to make independent decisions
  • Ability to follow instructions and accept constructive criticism
  • Good interpersonal skills to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
  • Ability to work harmoniously with others and handle residents based on their current maturity level
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning cleaning compounds and solutions
  • Ability to communicate resident condition information appropriately

Job Duties

  • Provides daily cleaning of main common areas and offices to include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and windows
  • Cleans residents' apartments to include bathroom, toilets, trash, dusting and vacuuming
  • Cleans public restrooms and employee breakroom
  • Vacuums halls and front lobby as required by schedule or as needed
  • Responsible for emptying trash in offices daily
  • Building cleaning as needed to include baseboards, ceiling light fixtures, and other hard to reach/access areas
  • Responsible for keeping the furniture in common areas clean and free of dust and clutter
  • Perform laundry functions as needed
