Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- One year of prior experience in commercial or institutional housekeeping
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to accept constructive criticism
- Ability to deal tactfully with diverse groups including personnel, residents, and the public
- Willingness to work harmoniously with others
- Ability to follow instructions related to cleaning compounds and disinfecting solutions
- Ability to communicate information regarding resident conditions
Job Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Prior experience in assisted living, independent living, or skilled nursing facility preferred
- One year of prior commercial or institutional housekeeping experience
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Ability to follow instructions and accept constructive criticism
- Good interpersonal skills to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
- Ability to work harmoniously with others and handle residents based on their current maturity level
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning cleaning compounds and solutions
- Ability to communicate resident condition information appropriately
Job Duties
- Provides daily cleaning of main common areas and offices to include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and windows
- Cleans residents' apartments to include bathroom, toilets, trash, dusting and vacuuming
- Cleans public restrooms and employee breakroom
- Vacuums halls and front lobby as required by schedule or as needed
- Responsible for emptying trash in offices daily
- Building cleaning as needed to include baseboards, ceiling light fixtures, and other hard to reach/access areas
- Responsible for keeping the furniture in common areas clean and free of dust and clutter
- Perform laundry functions as needed
