Job Requirements
- Must be physically fit and able to bend, stoop, and lift
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Capable of operating industrial laundry equipment, cleaning equipment, and cleaning chemicals
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- Must comply fully with hotel rules and regulations for safety and efficiency
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Valid drivers license and proof of insurance if driving duties are required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience in a hotel or similar environment is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management
- Customer service oriented with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage and disposal methods
- Ability to lift and carry heavy loads safely
- Basic understanding of safety and emergency procedures
Job Duties
- Pick up room reports and keys to assigned areas daily
- Proceed to laundry area to pick up assigned cart and necessary supplies
- Maintain quietness in guest room areas to avoid disturbance
- Prioritize check-outs unless there is a special request
- Report rooms with Do Not Disturb signs to superior for approval
- Change sheets in every room daily unless specified by guest
- Clean rooms according to established procedures and return cart at end of shift
- Carry out all reasonable requests by management
- Be flexible with work schedule
- Report to work on time and in clean uniform including name tag
- Stay knowledgeable about daily hotel operations and updates
- Understand and participate in achieving guest service score goals
- Handle duties according to hotel policies and standards
- Know emergency procedures and respond appropriately
- Report unusual occurrences or requests to manager
- Assist fellow associates to improve daily operations
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Maintain valid drivers license and insurance if applicable
