Job Requirements
- Must be physically fit to bend, stoop, and lift
- Must have ability to work independently with little supervision
- Must be able to operate industrial laundry equipment and cleaning chemicals
- Must follow hotel policies and rules
- Must be punctual and presentable in uniform
- Must comply with all safety and emergency procedures
- Must be flexible to work different shifts
- Must have a valid driver’s license and insurance if driving is required
Job Qualifications
- Mechanically able to operate industrial laundry and cleaning equipment
- Physically fit to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Knowledgeable about hotel cleanliness standards and guest service
- Capable of maintaining guest privacy and quality standards
- Familiar with safety and emergency procedures
- Experience in hospitality or housekeeping preferred but not mandatory
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Flexibility to adhere to varied work shifts
- Valid driver’s license if applicable
Job Duties
- Pick up room reports and keys to assigned areas daily
- Sign out and sign in all keys in the key control log at start and end of shifts
- Pick up assigned carts and necessary supplies from laundry area
- Maintain quietness in guest room areas to avoid disturbing guests
- Prioritize cleaning check-out rooms unless special requests are provided
- Report all Do Not Disturb rooms to superior for approval
- Change sheets in every room daily unless specified by guests
- Proceed room to room respecting Do Not Disturb signs
- Clean rooms according to established procedures and return cart at end of shift
- Carry out all reasonable requests by management
- Be flexible with work schedules
- Report to work on time in clean uniform including name tag
- Stay updated on hotel operations, procedures, and events
- Be aware of guest service scores and understand guest comments
- Perform duties according to hotel policies and internal rules
- Be knowledgeable about emergency procedures and act appropriately
- Report unusual occurrences or guest requests to management
- Assist fellow associates to improve daily hotel operations
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Hold a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance if driving is required
