Job Description
The position available is for a Part-Time Guest Room Attendant, a crucial role in ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of our guests. This job involves cleaning, restocking, and maintaining orderliness in guest rooms, providing turndown service, and ensuring proper housekeeping room status. The role also includes performing physical room checks during AM and PM shifts and reporting any maintenance or cleaning issues to ensure guest rooms are always in pristine condition. Job Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years
- flexible to work all shifts including holidays nights and weekends
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- physical stamina to perform duties in a fast-paced environment
- must be able to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally and push/pull a loaded cart up to 75 pounds
- ability to work in a smoke-filled environment
- availability for part-time employment
Job Qualifications
- Previous guest room attendant experience preferred
- ability to read write speak and understand the English language for communication with guests employees and supervisors
- excellent communication skills both written and oral
- ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers staff guests and general public
- any combination of education training or experience that provides required knowledge skills and abilities
- must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- flexible to work all shifts including holidays nights and weekend hours
Job Duties
- Clean restock and maintain orderliness and maintenance of guest rooms
- provide turndown service and ensure proper housekeeping room status
- conduct AM and/or PM physical room checks
- report repair work need in rooms
- report soiled shower curtains rubber bath mats irons ironing board covers that need replacing
- report any special cleaning upholstery carpet or drapery cleaning
- clean bathtub toilet sink walls mirrors tiles counters and curtain liner chrome and floor surfaces
- strip and/or check bed linen and remake beds
- vacuum entire room and dust all furniture
- empty trash ashtrays and remove all garbage and debris
- clean bars and refrigerators if present
- remove all soiled linen and terry
- replenish amenities hangers tumblers linens terry paper and printed supplies
- perform other duties as assigned
