Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred
- strong customer service skills
- ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish preferred
- ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- ability to handle physical aspects of the job including standing, bending, and lifting
Job Duties
- Cleans trash cans and ash trays
- vacuums carpeted areas
- sweeps and mops tile, brick, and concrete areas
- picks up dirty cups and glasses throughout the facility
- polishes furniture and fixtures
- operates and maintains light equipment necessary to perform job functions to include vacuums
- deep cleans areas including shampooing carpets, stripping and waxing floors, and high dusting
- deals with high volume customer interactions maintaining an outgoing, upbeat, and cheerful demeanor
- builds guest relations by welcoming and conversing with customers
- observes and offers assistance to guests in assigned area
- reports unusual activity
- handles routine customer complaints and incidents with discretion
- ensures guests remain engaged by providing friendly and helpful service
- utilizes open body language and polite communication
- adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies
- resolves guest disputes efficiently up to a certain amount
- crosstrains in other departments
- performs other duties as assigned
