Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with elderly residents
- ability to read warning labels and safety instructions
- physical capability to lift 50 pounds, stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach
- willingness to adhere to infection control and safety procedures
- pass criminal background check
- comply with drug-free workplace policies
Job Qualifications
- effective engagement and communication with elderly individuals
- exhibit patience, tact, and willingness to handle challenging situations
- promote teamwork, mutual respect, and effective communication
- excellent organizational skills and self-motivation
- ability to read and understand warning labels on cleaning chemicals
- working knowledge of housekeeping equipment, sanitation practices, chemical mixing, and general safety rules is preferred
- physical stamina to lift up to 50lbs and operate various cleaning equipment safely
Job Duties
- tackle routine and deep cleaning tasks including dusting furniture and mopping floors
- thoroughly sanitize rooms and bathrooms
- conduct deep cleanings for new resident move-ins
- follow specific cleaning preferences
- gather and properly dispose of trash and waste
- efficiently operate environmental service equipment
- coordinate laundry services ensuring adequate supply of linens and clothing
