Job Requirements

  • Any combination of education and experience that provides required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • minimum 6 months supervisory experience or 1 year comparable housekeeping experience
  • ability to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods
  • ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • excellent communication skills
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software
  • ability to provide guidance and instruction to team members
  • highly organized and able to meet deadlines

Job Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • minimum of 6 months supervisory experience or 1 year comparable housekeeping experience
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to provide clear direction, instruction, and guidance
  • highly organized and capable of prioritizing work
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software
  • any combination of education and experience providing required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Job Duties

  • Train and monitor the performance of room attendants, laundry attendants, hall attendants, lobby attendants
  • provide organization, instruction, guidance, communication, and counseling
  • prepare work performance reports on all personnel and submit them to the housekeeping office
  • ensure all jobs are completed within the shift
  • prepare A.M. and P.M. room status reports
  • visually inspect VIP rooms, guest rooms, and corridors for cleanliness and appearance
  • inspect housekeeping carts to ensure supplies are stocked
  • take inventories of furniture, fixtures, equipment, supplies
  • report all maintenance deficiencies via work orders
  • expedite special guest requests such as extra towels or pillows
  • dust floors and stairwells and inspect for trash and debris
  • provide instruction for guest and employee safety in emergencies
  • assist room attendants and house persons in securing supplies and tools
  • report suspicious persons or hazardous conditions to security
  • respond to guest questions and provide assistance
  • perform other related duties as assigned
