Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- One year of environmental services or housekeeping experience required
- One year of floor care and carpet care experience preferred
- Good customer service skills
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to stand and walk for duration of shift
- Ability to use heavy equipment including but not limited to scrubbers and burnishers
- Friendly demeanor
- Customer service focused
- Demonstrates care and compassion in every interaction

Job Duties
- Perform daily cleaning in assigned areas using proper chemicals, correct mixtures, and equipment operation procedures
- Properly clean and disinfect all surfaces
- Follow procedures for stripping and refinishing all floor types
- Maintain and care for workplace and assigned equipment
- Follow dry and wet mopping procedures
- Follow procedures for scrubbing and burnishing all hard flooring
- Ensure floors are safe and clean during inclement weather
- Assist in maintaining a sanitary, safe, attractive, and orderly facility
- Follow waste handling and disposal procedures
- Mark project areas with appropriate warning signs
- Clean and maintain all floor care equipment and storage areas
- Inspect and evaluate work and make improvements as needed
- Keep supervisor informed regarding supplies or equipment issues
- Maintain a positive attitude and support team-focused approach
- Remove debris and clean areas with hazardous materials
- Disinfect floors per standard protocols
- Follow written and oral instructions and respond to requests timely
- Perform other related housekeeping duties including cleaning patient rooms, offices, halls, and ancillary departments
