Job Requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision
- Ability to interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively with others by phone and verbally
- Ability to read and understand material safety data sheets and instructions for mixing and use of cleaning chemicals
- Ability to fill out chemical identification stickers
- Must be prepared to work in a fast-paced, physical environment involving walking and pushing cleaning carts
- Must be willing to work night shifts including weekend and holiday rotations
- Must complete onboarding in a timely manner or job offer will be rescinded
- Must obtain annual flu vaccine as required
- Subject to background check and drug screen
Job Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision

- Effective communication skills by phone and verbally
- Ability to read and understand material safety data sheets and chemical instructions
- Previous experience in housekeeping or environmental services preferred
- Familiarity with environmental services equipment and cleaning techniques preferred
- Additional related education or experience preferred
Job Duties
- Perform a variety of assigned cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, vacuuming, and polishing according to departmental policies and procedures
- Empties hampers and transports soiled linen
- empties trash containers and removes all trash including medical waste containers and sharps
- Inventories, restocks, and replenishes supplies such as toilet tissue, paper towels, hand soap, etc
- Maintains cleanliness of departmental equipment and notifies appropriate personnel for repairs
- performs special projects such as window washing, wall washing, and removing heavily soiled items or furnishings
- Responds to questions and requests from patients, staff, and visitors
- Works under supervision with responsibility for assigned facility area only
