Job Requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision
- Ability to interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively with others by phone and verbally
- Ability to read and understand material safety data sheets and instructions for mixing and use of cleaning chemicals and fill out chemical identification stickers
- Must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain it for the duration of employment if working at certain behavioral health and senior center facilities
- Must sign an Arizona Criminal History Affidavit upon hire
Job Qualifications
- Previous related experience and familiarity with environmental services equipment and cleaning techniques preferred
- Additional related education and/or experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and by phone
- Ability to read and understand material safety data sheets and instructions for cleaning chemicals
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Performs a variety of assigned cleaning tasks including dusting mopping scrubbing disinfecting vacuuming and polishing according to departmental policy and procedures
- Empties hampers and transports of soiled linen
- Empties trash containers and removes all trash including medical waste containers and sharps
- Inventories restocks and replenishes supplies such as toilet tissue paper towels and hand soap in all assigned areas
- Maintains cleanliness of departmental equipment and reports necessary repairs
- Performs special cleaning projects such as washing windows walls and removing heavily soiled items
- Responds to questions and requests from patients staff and visitors meeting or exceeding customer service goals
