Job Requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision
- Ability to interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions
- Effective communication skills by phone and verbally
- Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets and cleaning chemical instructions
- Ability to fill out chemical identification stickers
- Must complete onboarding timely or job offer will be rescinded
- Must undergo background check and drug screening
- Must receive annual flu vaccine or follow exemption process
- Employees at Banner Behavioral Health or Whole Health Clinic must possess and maintain Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
Job Qualifications
- Previous related experience preferred
- Familiarity with environmental services equipment and cleaning techniques preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively by phone and verbally
- Ability to read and understand safety data sheets and chemical mixing instructions
- Ability to fill out chemical identification stickers
- Additional related education or experience preferred
Job Duties
- Perform assigned cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, vacuuming, and polishing according to departmental policies
- Empty hampers and transport soiled linen
- Empty trash containers and remove all trash including medical waste and sharps
- Inventory, restock, and replenish supplies such as toilet tissue, paper towels, and hand soap
- Maintain cleanliness of departmental equipment and report repairs
- Perform special cleaning projects like window washing and removing heavily soiled items
- Respond to questions and requests from patients, staff, and visitors while meeting customer service goals
