Job Requirements
- ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision
- ability to interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions
- ability to communicate effectively with others by phone and verbally
- ability to read and understand material safety data sheets and instructions for mixing and use of cleaning chemicals
- ability to fill out chemical identification stickers
- willingness to work varied shifts including evenings weekends and holidays
- successful completion of background check and drug screen
- completion of onboarding requirements including annual flu vaccination
Job Qualifications
- previous related experience preferred
- familiarity with environmental services equipment and cleaning techniques preferred
- ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- ability to interpret and comply with safety data sheets and chemical usage instructions
Job Duties
- perform a variety of assigned cleaning tasks including dusting mopping scrubbing disinfecting vacuuming and polishing according to departmental policy and procedures
- empty hampers and transports of soiled linen
- empty trash containers and remove all trash including medical waste and sharps
- inventory restock and replenish supplies such as toilet tissue paper towels hand soap located in all assigned areas
- maintain cleanliness of departmental equipment and notify appropriate personnel as repairs become necessary
- perform special projects such as windows washing wall washing removing heavily soiled items or furnishings
- respond to questions and requests from patients staff and visitors while meeting or exceeding customer service satisfaction goals
