Job Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed
- Pass pre-employment and pre-placement drug and alcohol screening
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Ability to perform physical cleaning duties including lifting and standing for extended periods
- No prior experience required for Level I
- One year custodial experience or equivalent for Level II
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One year experience in building or institutional custodial work for Level II
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols
- Valid driver’s license
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform cleaning tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and complete training for hazardous waste disposal
Job Duties
- Sweep, mop, and dust hospital floors and surfaces
- Dispose of trash and waste materials properly
- Clean and sanitize patient rooms, common areas, and restrooms
- Assist in the disposal of restricted or environmentally hazardous materials after training
- Maintain cleaning equipment and report any malfunctions
- Follow hospital protocols for safety and infection control
- Provide support for special cleaning projects as assigned
