Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or currently enrolled and will complete GED within 6 months
  • must be 21 years of age or older
  • able to type minimum 30 words per minute
  • must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • good writing and verbal communication skills
  • able to stand and/or walk for entire shift
  • must successfully pass job interview including guest service audition
  • ability to work in fast paced high volume environment
  • experience operating standard office equipment
  • must possess and maintain valid state driver's license
  • willing to work odd or irregular hours including nights weekends and holidays
  • willing to travel and participate in training
  • must have occupational license or ability to obtain and maintain per Illinois Gaming Act

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or enrolled and completing GED within 6 months
  • experience in customer relations or guest services preferred
  • good writing and verbal communication skills
  • experience with Property Management Systems preferably Opera or HotSOS preferred
  • experience operating standard office equipment such as phones and computers
  • ability to work effectively in a fast paced high volume environment
  • ability to stand and walk for entire shift
  • valid state driver's license
  • occupational license as required by Illinois Gaming Act

Job Duties

  • Projects a positive image
  • answers incoming phone calls handling as necessary
  • dispatches guests' requested items
  • processes maintenance requests and creates work orders in HotSOS system
  • administers master keys
  • creates room assignments for staff and relays information to team members
  • administers hotel lost-and-found
  • tracks purchase orders and delivery of supplies and keeps inventory of operational supplies
  • performs clerical tasks such as delivering mail filing and faxing
  • cleans guestrooms and corridors as needed
  • keeps work area clean and orderly
  • works safe by observing safety rules and wearing proper equipment
  • performs other duties as assigned
