Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • No prior experience required
  • Ability to perform moderate physical effort including moving furniture
  • Capability to use hand and powered cleaning equipment
  • Willingness to obtain housekeeping and food handling certifications as required
  • Ability to maintain guest privacy and security
  • Valid state driver’s license may be required
  • Ability to report timely to supervisors and follow protocols
  • Commitment to safety and cleanliness protocols
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks
  • Good communication skills to interact with guests and supervisors
  • Ability to perform moderate physical labor including moving furniture
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
  • Willingness to obtain necessary certifications within required timeframe
  • Dependability and integrity in handling keys and guest property
  • Basic handyman skills for minor repairs
  • Customer service orientation and professionalism

Job Duties

  • Cleans guest rooms and other assigned areas
  • Operates cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, waxers, and polishers
  • Empties wastebaskets, dusts, waxes, and polishes room furniture
  • Washes walls, partitions, air vents, disinfects and deodorizes toilets and lavatories
  • Changes light bulbs and room partitions using ladders and scaffolds
  • Moves furniture for cleaning under and behind
  • Cleans bathroom and kitchen areas including appliances
  • Cleans and ensures functionality of luggage racks and room electronics
  • Places amenities and replaces bed linen
  • Greets and welcomes guests maintaining outstanding guest relations
  • Ensures guest privacy and security
  • Cleans corridors, stairways, patios, and balconies
  • Performs deep cleaning as required
  • Maintains storage room cleanliness
  • Reports maintenance needs and lost and found items
  • Assists with breakfast bar setup and cleanup
  • Completes all safety and security training
  • Performs laundry operations
  • May travel to other lodging facilities if required
  • Obtains housekeeping and food handling certifications as applicable
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
