Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year full-time wage-earning housekeeping experience, preferably in commercial or healthcare setting
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record unless waived by management
- Ability to successfully complete annual in-service training requirements including physical agility test and background check
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Ability to follow infection control and safety protocols
- Capability to handle hazardous materials appropriately
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Cleans and services patient rooms, offices and common areas
- Sweeps, mops, waxes all floors using clean water, sanitized mops and accurately uses floor polishers
- Provides supplies such as tissues, paper towels, soap to areas as needed and checks cleaning supplies daily
- Appropriately disposes of trash and medical waste from all areas of the hospital
- Maintains trash cans sanitized with new liners and disposes trash in compactor
- Moves furniture while exercising safety procedures and avoids damage
- Cleans assigned areas using proper solutions, equipment and techniques
- Cleans equipment after each use and stores it neatly
- Checks cleaning supplies daily and exercises responsibility in the use of supplies
- Follows cleaning procedures and checks off list after completion of each room
- Works overtime when directed and maintains regular and predictable attendance
- Performs other duties as assigned within capabilities
