Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • ability to perform moderate physical effort including moving furniture
  • no prior experience required
  • ability to operate hand and powered cleaning equipment
  • good communication skills
  • ability to maintain guest privacy and security
  • willingness to work part-time hours
  • may require valid state driver’s license
  • willingness to obtain food handling and housekeeping certifications
  • ability to travel to multiple locations based on business needs

Job Duties

  • Cleans guest rooms and assigned areas
  • operates cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners and polishers
  • empties wastebaskets and dusts furniture
  • disinfects and deodorizes bathrooms
  • washes and replaces window treatments
  • changes light bulbs and room partitions
  • cleans kitchen areas including appliances and utensils
  • ensures proper functionality of luggage racks and in-room electronics
  • stocks guest room amenities
  • inspects and replaces bed linens
  • greets and maintains guest relations
  • maintains privacy and security of guests
  • cleans corridors, stairways, and exterior spaces
  • performs deep cleaning tasks including carpet shampooing and wall cleaning
  • maintains cleanliness of storage rooms
  • communicates cleaning status to supervisors
  • performs minor repairs and reports major issues
  • assists with receiving and storing supplies
  • manages keys and reports unusual circumstances
  • handles lost and found items
  • sets up and cleans breakfast service areas
  • completes safety and security training
  • adheres to NEXCOM Hospitality Group protocols
  • performs laundry operations
  • may travel to other lodging facilities
  • obtains required certifications
  • performs other related duties as assigned
