Job Duties
- vacuums, sweeps, mops and buffs corridors, stairs, stairwells, walls, furniture and equipment
- uses extension pole, ladder and scaffolds while cleaning walls, washing light fixtures, changing drapes or other activities
- shampoos and changes rugs when necessary
- cleans resident rooms when assigned requiring a high degree of cleanliness to minimize possible spread of infection
- gathers and disposes refuse as directed
- cleans public and resident-use bathrooms, scouring sinks, wet mopping floors, disinfecting toilet bowl, wiping down all surfaces and replenishing necessary supplies
- moves furniture and equipment in connection with cleaning tasks
- maintains supply rooms for housekeeping throughout the building
- uses a variety of manual and mechanical equipment
