Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- No military affiliation required
- Must be able to perform moderate physical effort including moving furniture and operating cleaning equipment
- Must be able to communicate effectively
- Willingness to obtain certifications such as food handling and housekeeping
- Ability to maintain guest privacy and security
- Must complete safety and security training
- May require a valid state driver’s license for travel
- Ability to handle common hand tools
- Flexible schedule availability
Job Qualifications

- Ability to operate cleaning equipment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic maintenance and repair skills
- Ability to follow safety and hygiene protocols

Job Duties
- Cleans guest rooms and other assigned areas
- Operates cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaner, carpet cleaner, waxer and polisher
- Empties wastebaskets, dust, wax and polish room furniture
- Washes walls, partitions, air vents, disinfects and deodorizes toilet bowls and lavatories
- Cleans bathroom and kitchen areas including appliances and floors
- Places proper number of amenities in rooms
- Changes bed linen and inspects mattresses and sofas
- Moves and re-positions furniture as needed
- Greets and welcomes guests maintaining outstanding guest relations
- Ensures privacy and security of guests
- Cleans corridors, stairways, laundry rooms, patios and balconies
- Performs carpet shampooing and polishing of stair rails
- Conducts deep cleaning as required including refrigerator defrosting and window cleaning
- Maintains cleanliness and order of storage rooms
- Communicates status of cleaned rooms to supervisor
- Performs minor repairs and reports major maintenance needs
- Cleans and inspects exterior spaces like parking lots
- Assists with receiving supplies and merchandise handling
- Manages pass keys and reports unusual circumstances
- Reports lost and found items
- Sets up and breaks down complimentary breakfast bar
- Completes safety and security training
- Maintains safe environment applying blood-borne pathogen knowledge
- Performs laundry operations
- May travel to other lodging facilities
- May obtain housekeeping certifications
- Performs other related duties as assigned
