The Housekeeping Attendant at the Union League Liberty Hill plays an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness, order, and overall comfort of the club’s facilities. This part-time position demands a detail-oriented individual who can independently manage their duties while upholding the high standards of the Union League. The primary responsibility involves cleaning and servicing guest rooms and other areas to ensure a sanitary, inviting, and orderly environment. This role requires knowledge of various mechanized cleaning equipment, the safe handling of chemicals, and an ability to address and resolve any guest requests or issues in a polite and respectful manner.
The Housekeeping Attendant is expected to operate with a high level of professionalism and a pleasant demeanor, contributing directly to the positive experience of the club’s members and visitors. Attention to detail is key, as is the ability to work efficiently, cleaning at least 15 guest rooms daily while documenting completed tasks using provided technology such as an iPad. The attendant will also communicate effectively with other departments, especially the front desk, to ensure seamless service provision. The job includes responsibilities like dusting, mopping, trash disposal, restocking of supplies, and reporting maintenance needs promptly.
Physical stamina and flexibility in scheduling are necessary attributes for this position, as the job requires continuous movement, lifting, carrying up to 25 pounds, and sometimes working outside of typical business hours. Job Duties
- Operate various mechanized cleaning equipment such as vacuums, polishers, buffers
- Maintain inn rooms in a sanitary condition through washing, cleaning, and replacement of equipment and furnishings
- Dispose of trash, waste, and other disposable materials
- Handle various cleaning solvents, chemicals safely
- Dust furniture, light fixtures, windowsills
- Empty trash containers daily
- Mop floors in bathrooms daily
- Check all vacant rooms daily to keep fresh
- Report any needed repairs immediately to supervisor
- Communicate with front desk regarding any guest issue or requests
- Check entire area for spills, water, etc
- Fully clean at least 15 guest rooms daily
- Use an iPad to document the completion of a cleaned room
- Attend staff training sessions and meetings as needed
- Complete special projects outlined by housekeeping manager
- Restock housekeeping supplies on shelves and on carts
