Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff
- Capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to or over 50 lbs, standing and walking long periods
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, holidays and overtime
- No prior experience required but knowledge of cleaning procedures helpful
- Must be able to identify and distinguish colors
- Must be capable of operating cleaning machines and handling chemicals safely
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- No initial experience required
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment, methods and chemicals preferred
- Good communication skills required for interaction with hotel guests and staff
Job Duties
- Vacuum and clean all corridors, vending areas, guest service elevators, stairwells and landings according to preset standards and procedures
- Clean windows and light fixtures in common areas, replacing bulbs as required
- Refresh housekeeping carts by providing clean linen and removing dirty linen and trash
- Operate glass washing machine
- Deliver clean glasses to designated linen closets and/or room attendant carts
- Clean all equipment according to preset standards after use and return to designated areas
- Assist in ongoing projects such as rotating mattresses, deep cleaning rooms and shampoo projects
- Clean guest rooms as needed according to preset standards, stripping linens as required
- Enter, respond to and close maintenance system work orders
- Report maintenance problems immediately
- Perform other duties as assigned
