Job Duties
- Maintain floor and other surfaces by operating electric washing, stripping, waxing, polishing, and vacuuming equipment
- perform general cleaning duties in assigned areas such as offices, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, examination rooms, patient rooms, and special procedure rooms
- inspect assigned area to ensure compliance with department standards and report deficiencies
- replenish dispensers with soap, hand towels, toilet tissue, and toilet seat covers
- properly dispose of all refuse including paper, patient fomites, needles, syringes, IV tubing, glass, pressurized cans, and isolated trash
- transport and dispose of soiled linen using approved methods
- clean and maintain all receptacles and replace liners as needed
- move equipment and furniture, remove and hang drapes and cubicle curtains
- clean equipment including wheelchairs, gurneys, and hamper holders according to procedure
- perform routine duties such as moving and delivering materials and sanitizing patient beds and furniture
- participate in staff development and required medical center courses
- establish and maintain courteous and cooperative relations with personnel, health plan members, and the public
- perform other related duties and assume additional responsibilities as directed
