Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- at least 1 year of experience preferred in custodial or environmental services
- ability to stand walk and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- capability to handle cleaning chemicals safely
- willingness to adhere to strict cleaning standards and hospital guidelines
- reliable transportation to travel to campus if required
Job Qualifications
- Preferred High School Diploma/GED
- previous experience in environmental services or janitorial work is preferred
- ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols and procedures
- strong communication skills for reporting safety and maintenance issues
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- understanding of infection control practices in healthcare settings
Job Duties
- Clean and disinfect floors using hospital-specific equipment including microfiber cloths and wet mops
- clean and sanitize horizontal surfaces such as over-bed tables counters and furniture
- clean and sanitize restroom surfaces including toilets urinals sinks showers walls floors and mirrors
- clean and sanitize vertical surfaces such as walls ceilings and windows
- ensure cleanliness of high dust surfaces such as picture frames vents and doorframes
- inspect room for proper cleaning and report any safety or maintenance issues
- remove trash and linen clean receptacles and ensure they are prepared for next use
- restock paper hand sanitizer and hand soap supplies
- sanitize high touch areas such as light switches bed rails and doorknobs
